Bull season 3 spoilers: Jill Hennessy signs on for significant role
According to a new report via TVLine, the former Crossing Jordan star (who has appeared recently on another CBS show in Madam Secretary) will be appearing across multiple episodes as a client who comes to Bull with one of the most-difficult cases he has ever taken on. All early indications at the moment suggest that this is going to be an especially emotional role for Hennessy to take on, and we’ve got a good feeling that it will test Bull in ways that we haven’t seen.
Yet, there’s another question that you have to think about with this casting: Is Bull really in the right mental place to be tested? You do have to remember for a moment here that he’s likely going to be in recovery from a heart attack at the start of the season. Trying to recover from that is not going to be easy for him since it may require a pretty dramatic change in his life. He’s not going to just be able to block out most of the noise while getting back to work – everything has changed.
As for how long we end up seeing Hennessy, that could be important in determining some of the structure of Bull moving forward. Typically, the majority of the show’s cases are wrapped up in an episode, yet we did see at the end of last season with the Elliott Miles case that the show is willing to shake things up a little bit depending on what the story is and how long it takes to tell that story properly.
