Pose season 2 premiere date hopes; when will it return?

Pose episode 4

Following tonight’s finale over on FX, what will the Pose season 2 premiere date be? We’ve got some more information on that within this article!

Let’s start with a reminder that there will be a second season for the inclusive, revolutionary drama from executive producer Ryan Murphy. This news was confirmed recently, with the premiere date set for at some point during 2019. We’d like to see it again during the summer, just because that is the ideal launch date for many summer shows. Just think about things in this way: By airing in the summer, what Pose season 2 would offer is less competition from major networks, the NFL, or major awards shows that dominate the schedule in other parts of the year.

Also, we do like to think that consistency matters. In having the series on the air at around the same time every year FX can establish a tradition of airing the series — something that could help to gradually improve some of its ratings over time.

As for the episode count, that’s still somewhat up in the air but we don’t imagine this show expanding too much beyond the eight episodes of season 1 — maybe we can get to ten here, but with the show’s musical component and elaborate costumes, we don’t foresee it starting to do longer seasons. It seems as though the series is compensating for that somewhat already by airing longer episodes, as it has done for much of season 1. (To us, we would probably shorten the episodes somewhat and do ten episodes as opposed to eight longer ones — live episodes that run well over an hour make it harder to get mainstream viewers.)

Hopefully, there will be some more news when it comes to Pose season 2 early next year — we don’t anticipate that there is going to be all that much of a hurry when it comes to the network making a big announcement.
