Elementary season 6 episode 12 video: Is this a cosplay case?
In the video below, you can get a small sense as to what we’re talking about here. Monday’s case is a little more comedic in that you’ve got some sort of convention involved that includes everything from robot costumes to other shenanigans. We suppose that this is probably as close as we’re going to get to Sherlock attending Comic-Con and we’ll gladly take it. (The best part of the promo is the end, where you’ve got a small inquiry as to whether or not Sherlock and Joan should don some costumes.)
What we’re rather confused about is how some of this really ties into the rest of this episode, given that Holmes and Watson were actually hired for their current cases to find a missing woman, someone who apparently lived a double-life previously as a “financial dominatrix.” Maybe there’s a key witness at the convention? That’s possible, but with Elementary there are of course a number of creative directions in which the story can veer off.
In general, though, all signs point to this being a rather fun episode, but there is a serious turn to it in that Detective Bell could spend a good chunk of this episode trying to figure out his future after he is given some sort of job offer over the course of the hour. Is that something that he is ready to take? We at least think that the episode wants you to believe that he could leave, but we don’t want to say too much more right now. After all, giving everything away in advance spoils some of the fun!
