Outlander star Sam Heughan set for Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance
Via ABC’s press site for Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Outlander star is set to appear on the Thursday, July 26 edition of the late-night talk show in order to promote the new movie The Spy Who Dumped Me. The Interrupters are currently set as the musical guest for the episode. This is actually the second interview on Kimmel’s show this week revolving around the movie, as Justin Theroux is going to be there on Monday.
Want to get free tickets if you’re in the Los Angeles area? You can sign up to be on the waitlist over at the link here. As of right now, there is no indication as of yet that tickets have been completely handed out yet. (Tickets for the Theroux show are listed as sold out.)
While Sam will obviously be on Kimmel’s show first and foremost to promote his new movie (which also stars Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon), there may be a moment or two related to Outlander thrown in there. As a whole, though, a big part of the appeal that comes with these late-interviews is the unpredictability of it where you never know 100% what is going to happen at any given moment.
In general, we imagine that the next week or so is going to offer up a chance for us to see many a fantastic Heughan interview, as big studio movies like The Spy Who Dumped Me often do come with a rather-extensive media tour. We’ve already written about one especially-notable interview that he did for the film, which you can check out over at the link here. We’ll have plenty more coverage on all of this over the week ahead.
Remember, The Spy Who Dumped Me hits theaters on August 3. Meanwhile, Outlander season 4 will be premiering on Starz this November. Hopefully, an official premiere date for it will come in the months ahead.
As always, we welcome your thoughts below! Meanwhile, you can like CarterMatt on Facebook for some other information regarding the series! (Photo: Starz.)

Trust Sam to give a great interview. He is a gentleman and a very great actor. Just watch the fourth season of Outlander and you will agree. Missed him at the recent Outlander Convention, but the other actors that were there were charming and so down to earth. I will catch Sam some day, somewhere. He knows me as Grandma Joan.

I hope SAM doesn’t allow Kimmel to pull him into a discussion of USA politics. I have stopped watching late shows as they have become filled with personal political attacks rather than entertainment. Yearn for the likes of Johnny Carson..
