Blue Bloods season 9: More behind-the-scenes fun! (photo)
The photo HERE comes to you via Marisa Ramirez, who is responsible for the character of Maria Baez on the series. Thursday was the second day of filming for Ramirez and Donnie Wahlberg, and it’s clear based on this photo that they were doing some filming out in the field.
So why are the two sporting umbrellas on what appears to be a sunny day? There are some different reasons for it — they’re not so much preparing for rain! The two actors are clearly dressed as their characters and with that, they are preparing to do some scenes. If they already have makeup applied, the umbrellas may be a way to keep it from running as much in the heat. Obviously, it’s also a way to prevent sunburn and just keep the two cooler in warm weather for long stretches of time. There are practical uses for almost everything on a set like this, especially once that is nine seasons into its run. At this point, we feel like the show has really figured how to come up with practical solutions for just about everything. What you see in this particular image is really no exception.
New episodes of Blue Bloods will premiere on CBS this September, and for the time being, CBS is still being rather quiet about some of the finer details. With that said, we know that there is an appearance from Lou Diamond Phillips coming in the early going, in addition to some sort of storyline for Jamie and Eddie right out of the gate.
