True Detective season 3 spoilers: Girls Trip actress set to recur
Here is what we can tell you when it comes to the latest casting news. According to a new report from Deadline, Deborah Avorinde (Girls Trip) is set to recur in the upcoming batch of episodes, which have been in production for most of the year. She is going to play the part on Becca Hayes, the estranged daughter of retired Arkansas State Police detective Wayne Hayes, played by Mahershala Ali. The story of True Detective season 3 is going to take place over the course of several decades, where you will see the impact that a crime has on the community there. Unlike Ozark, the upcoming season of True Detective is actually filming in the region predominantly. It’s going to be authentic, and we better hope that the story is going to be up to our expectations. We don’t think we have to even say that the second season of the show was a disappointment, but the first batch of episodes was one of the best ones that we have seen on TV in quite some time. It was emotional, thought-provoking, and also terribly frightening to go along with it.
Some of the other cast members include Carmen Ejogo, Stephen Dorff, Scoot McNairy, Ray Fisher, and Mamie Gummer. There is also going to be a major collection of recurring performers including Emily Nelson, Jon Tenney, and others.
Unfortunately, HBO has not announced a True Detective season 3 premiere at the moment, and they may not do so until the fall / early next year. The network has three marquee series coming up in Big Little Lies, True Detective, and Game of Thrones season 8 — they could choose to air these shows in succession in the new year, but no format announcements have been made.
