Grey’s Anatomy: Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers on Sandra Oh Emmy nod
If you look below, you can see what Pompeo and Chambers both had to say in response to Oh’s historic Actress in a Drama Series nomination — she became the first woman of Asian descent to earn a nomination in the category, which is a tremendous achievement for representation. It also just so happens to be another sensational reminder of just how good of a performer Oh is. She was fantastic on the ABC series as Cristina Yang for many years, but we’re glad that she is off being able to do many other great things.
Over the course of the coming months, Oh is going to get a chance to do a lot of great interviews discussing her role on Killing Eve and likely recounting what it was like for her to hear about the nomination news. Of course, it feels inevitable that someone is going to ask her about Grey’s Anatomy because that always happens — it’s really something that you have to be prepared for at this point. (For the record, though, we don’t foresee Oh coming back to Grey’s Anatomy anytime soon — she’s more interested in moving forward, though we would be rather interested to see if she would come back for a series finale or some other milestone.)
Killing Eve has already been renewed for a second season, and all signs point towards you being able to check that out at some point in 2019.
