Better Call Saul season 4 teaser: The Saul Goodman training video?

Better Call Saul season 4

Are we starting to really witness Jimmy McGill becoming Saul Goodman on Better Call Saul season 4? While we haven’t seen that transition completed by any means, it does look as though we’re nearing the point where it could be.

In the new teaser via TheWrap we do get a small sense as to some of what’s coming and the stories that, by and large, you can expect to see unfold. For Jimmy, the Saul transformation seems to be mostly a byproduct of three different things.

1. His natural skill set – We’ve known from his days as Slippin’ Jimmy that he is the sort of person who is just going to naturally be a swindler and a hustler. There has always been this part of him there and season 4 could just be a chance for him to explore that even more than ever before.

2. The death of Chuck – While we don’t want to call him Jimmy’s moral compass by any means, we do think that Chuck McGill presented at least some sort of reinforcement for Jimmy to not go off the deep end. Unfortunately, that element of reinforcement is now gone and just about anything can happen.

3. Being unemployed – While Jimmy was a lawyer, he at least could attempt to try and impress Kim Wexler with some of the work that he did. However, now that he doesn’t have that to fall back on, the character is now in a situation where he is left more to his own devices. Kim can’t watch out for him and ultimately, a Jimmy McGill without any sort of moral compass is an incredibly dangerous Jimmy McGill. This is something that is great for us as a viewer since it means plenty of drama, but we’d also come to like Jimmy quite a bit as a viewer of this show.

Better Call Saul season 4 is slated to premiere on AMC next month, and we imagine that there will be so much more news to share in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned!
