Doctor Who season 11 Comic-Con panel happening earlier than expected
On Thursday, BBC America confirmed that the panel is happening on Thursday, July 19 at 11:45 a.m., and that the panel is going to be taking place once more in Hall H. The only thing that is a surprise here is the early time. Typically, Doctor Who gets some prime real estate on either the Saturday or Sunday of Comic-Con, which does make a certain degree of sense given that this is one of the most-popular shows traditionally among the Comic-Con crowd. We figure that ther eare probably some people who are rather bummed-out who didn’t plan to be at the convention on the Thursday. Yet, many of those people with Thursday passes are probably rather thrilled. (Personally, Thursday is one of our favorite times to go, largely because the convention is not completely overrun with people just yet.)
Among the people taking part in this year’s panel are Jodie Whittaker, Tosin Cole, Mandip Gill, and executive producers Chris Chibnall alongside Matt Strevens. Bradley Walsh is the only main performer from the season not present at the panel. There are going to be presumably some teases from the upcoming season (premiering this fall) at the panel, but there is no confirmation, at least at the moment, regarding whether or not there will be a trailer. We know that there was some footage unfortunately lead recently on social media, and that the folks over at the BBC are already taking legal action against some of the parties apparently responsible.
