July 4 Marathons: Chicago PD, Last Man Standing, NCIS

Chicago Pd season 5 teaser

Want to check out some notable July 4 marathons today? We do think that there are a few that should be on your radar as you advance through the day — just note that there is also a little bit of new programming on tonight if you are also looking for something new to watch. NBC is airing, for example, the Macy’s Fourth of July Spectacular at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, while Hallmark will be broadcasting a special from the White House.

Now, let’s get on with some of the major marathons of the day. These are in addition to the one themed around Blue Bloods over on ION, which we discussed in great detail yesterday.

Chicago PD – There are a number of notable season 4 episodes airing over on Oxygen for most of the day. This gives you a chance to see much of the final stretch of time for Sophia Bush on the NBC series; she left after this season, and following that, Tracy Spiridakos was promoted to series regular.

NCIS – In what shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who is familiar with this holiday, USA is running a ton of episodes of the long-running crime procedural throughout today. This is one of the strongest syndicated shows on TV and really, it makes perfect sense in order to put the series on the air now.

Last Man Standing – Meanwhile, the once-canceled ABC series is going to be airing repeats over on WGN America (perfect name for a network on July 4) starting at 12:00 p.m. Eastern. With season 7 premiering on Fox this fall, this is a perfect way to catch up.

Remember that on CBS tonight, there are also going to be new episodes of both Big Brother and Code Black, meaning that you are going to have some rather-fun stuff to dive in and watch if you enjoy these shows.

What are you planning to watch on July 4? Be sure to share right now in the attached comments!
