The Bold Type season 2 episode 6 preview: Jane’s surprising challenge

The Bold Type season 2

The Bold Type season 2 episode 6, entitled “The Domino Effect,” could end up teaching Jane yet another lesson. Following tonight’s episode focusing in part on privilege, she may find herself in yet another compromising position. She’s going to be doing what she can to push a big story, and with that, her ambition could end up getting the best of her — one way or another, something is going to happen that she does not quite expect.

Below, The Bold Type season 2 episode 6 synopsis offers up a little bit more news and information when it comes to what lies ahead:

Jane is thrilled when her sexual assault article for Scarlet is nominated for a prestigious journalism award. Determined to prove herself to Jacqueline, Jane jumps at the chance to write a follow-up piece, until the story takes an unexpected turn. Kat struggles with whether to tell Adena a secret and Sutton is given a challenging assignment – styling Richard’s date.

When you read that, it does seem like The Bold Type is going to continue to do everything that it can to still tow the line between a number of different subjects. We imagine that there are going to be a number of different happy moments over the course of the episode, but also a few others that are somewhat devastating and dramatic. This is a show trying to be a reflection of life for young magazine writers, and in this position, there are going to be some significant peaks and valleys. These are all lessons that these characters can learn from and on the other side of what they go through, they may be able to be a little bit more successful in their craft. It’s going to take time, though, which is probably why it remains a good thing that The Bold Type has already been renewed for a season 3. That gives the writers time to make this progression.
