Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 7 preview: Who is Frankie, really?

Moving into Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 7, are we going to learn more about Frankie? Signs suggest so. This character, at least to date, remains one of the biggest mysteries of the season; she arrived with Deran’s father Billy, but the only things that we’ve learned about her as of late is that she has no problem wearing zero clothing and that she doesn’t want to continue to sleep outside. She seems capable of manipulation but also isn’t altogether open talking about her past.

Yet, one way or another some information could become clear next week, and we’re curious already as to whether or not this could be tied to why Billy is around.

Below, the season 3 episode 7 synopsis offers up a little more information as to what’s coming with this installment as a whole:

Deran (Jake Weary) leads the charge in planning the weed heist. Lucy (Carolina Guerra) calls Pope (Shawn Hatosy) down to Mexico for some intel on Baz’s murder. J (Finn Cole) reaches a breaking point with Smurf (Ellen Barkin). Craig (Ben Robson) learns more about Billy’s (Denis Leary) girlfriend Frankie (Dichen Lachman).

Of course, one of the other big mysteries at the heart of this episode is the one that TNT doesn’t choose to acknowledge at all — what’s going to be coming up in terms of Nicky, and whether or not we are going to continue to see this character stop by moving forward. Judging from the fact that J left her outside of a hospital (classy move, we say sarcastically), she’s probably going to survive the wound. Yet, the larger question is whether or not she wants to have anything to do with J or any of the other guys after this. She doesn’t have many other places to go, but it’s hard to imagine a place worse than this to hang your hat.
