Outlander season 4: Starz releases new BTS Caitriona Balfe photo
The image above was taken behind the scenes of filming the latest batch of episodes, and you can see the original source below via the show’s official Twitter. This was likely taken earlier this season and stored away for a time like this — which makes sense, given that this is a time where things are relatively light when it comes to news.
This photo is a nice close-up look at some of the exceptional work that designer Terry Dresbach has done replicating both the spirit of the era, while also nodding towards the history of great fashion that we have seen on Outlander over the years. You will likely see much of this fashion featured throughout the season as many of the characters make the most of some of the materials around them to craft their clothing.
We’ll of course say that many of the colors we see in the photo make us think automatically of fall, mostly due to the browns and the reds we often tend to see in the season. That’s probably what also makes the show’s season 4 premiere date in November so great. The show may actually have a little bit of a seasonal quality to it — anything to boost the ratings is something that we absolutely are going to get behind.
We imagine that there will be a few more behind-the-scenes photos coming in the near future, especially when you think about the end of filming this week. Beyond that, we would be shocked if there is no season 4 teaser this summer or a trailer at some point in the early fall. It won’t be too long before we start to arrive at the peak of Outlander season 4 promotion.
