Shades of Blue season 3 episode 4: Ray Liotta’s daughter Karsen to guest-star
The photo below (via TVLine) is one of the first looks that we’ve got for Sunday night’s new episode, where Karsen is appropriately playing the daughter of Liotta’s character of Wozniak. With that being said, what makes this particular appearance especially dark is the fact that Anna Kate is actually dead. Woz’s daughter took her own life years ago, and is appearing to her father in some sort of visions. There are certainly a number of different reasons why this could be happening now, whether it be with Woz confronting his own mortality after a near-death experience to even harboring a little bit of guilt when it comes to keeping secrets from his son. The look on Woz’s face in the photo certainly has that “I’m looking at a ghost” feel to it, and this could be a foundation to a really powerful story that is happening all around him.
Shades of Blue season 3, in general, looks to be taking on some of its biggest subjects and having some of its boldest conversations, which we do personally think to be necessary when you think a little bit about where we are in the series run at the moment. This is a time in which Harlee and Woz are taking on police corruption like never before, and Harlee is especially on edge after thinking that she has seen a ghost in her own right — that of Stahl, whose role on the series seems to be far from done based on the events of this past episode.
For those wondering, Shades of Blue is the second major TV credit for Karsen Liotta — she appeared previously in an episode of Nobodies.
