The Affair season 4 episode 3 video: What’s next for Helen, Vic?
In the closing minutes of that episode, we saw Vic collapse in a rather-shocking fashion near the end of the episode, which in turn does have us questioning his future. Is he really going to be okay moving forward from that? While he’s back up and moving around in this latest sneak peek from the episode, it does still feel like he is brushing off what happened and isn’t worrying all that much about it. As a matter of fact, he feels surprisingly fine and not altogether concerned. He’s going to work as though nothing has ever happened, and beyond that, he still has plans to attend a fancy gala the following night. Basically, he’s moving forward with his life and acting as though nothing ever happened, and he also doesn’t want Helen to talk about it with his parents.
There are a couple of clear problems that Helen has with all of this. For starters, she clearly doesn’t like the idea of being told what she can and can’t say to people, which makes sense given that nobody really likes being ordered around. Beyond that, though, we also just think that she’s concerned about him and it’s frustrating that he doesn’t seem as concerned about his health as she is.
Now, let’s get to the part of the sneak peek where we share some of our frustrations: Helen smashing that plate. How often does that actually happen in life as opposed to how much it happens on television? The problem that we often have with such scenes is just that Helen’s gotta go by a new plate now! Can’t she find a different way to channel her frustration?
