Prepare for Supergirl season 4; season 3 arrives on Netflix

Supergirl season 3 episode 13

Supergirl season 4 is not going to be on the CW until we get around to the fall, but it’s never too early to start your preparation if you’re behind a few episodes!

This week, Netflix officially started to stream the latest batch of episodes, and depending on what you like to see in superhero shows, there is a lot to enjoy here from start to finish. The first handful of episodes offer up a little more Sanvers, though the end of that relationship still has us eternally sad. The middle part of the season is probably the series’ strongest in terms of drama between Supergirl and the main villain Reign. We do think that the final part of the season gets a little muddled and there are two many things going on. Yet, the final episode does have some great action sequences in it and sets the stage very well for whatever season 4 could bring. Odds are, that’s going to be a super-exciting batch of episodes with a number of surprise twists along the way. We really just have to wait and see precisely what some of them are. At the moment, we don’t know too much other than that there seems to be a story inspired by Superman’s Red Son in the early going.

If there is one thing that loses a little bit of its zeal watching them across Netflix, it is the crossovers since they’re all scattered all over the place and seeing them all in sequential order requires a little bit of menu-navigating. This was probably really annoying for Netflix-only viewers of the Arrowverse, given that the other shows have been available for a while and there’s been a little bit more of a wait in order to check out all of Crisis on Earth-X in one spot.
