Maisie Richardson-Sellers confirms Legends of Tomorrow season 4 return
At the end of season 3, Maisie’s character of Amaya Jiwe returned to her original timeline, a move that was important from the vantage point of ensuring the future was unchanged. That of course meant that the present-day Vixen could still exist and much more. That’s one of the challenges that comes with a character who originated in the past — you have to get her back there eventually.
In a new post on Twitter (see below), Richardson-Sellers confirmed that Amaya will be coming back on the series, while also saying that the Comic-Con panel on July 21 will reveal a little more information about what to expect. We suppose that it’s possible the Legends try to pick her up and then implant her back into the same time again, but doing so is always risky in its own right. We have also speculated that she could be playing either a new or modified version of her character, but as of right now we consider that unlikely. Legends of Tomorrow really hasn’t done all that much in terms of alternate Earths and we have a hard time thinking that they are necessarily going to do that here, either.
All in all, Legends seems to be gearing up for a rather big season 4 just in terms of characters alone — while Keiynan Lonsdale is departing the series, Matt Ryan, Courtney Ford, and Jes Macallan have all be promoted to regulars. If some of these people do end up hopping aboard the Waverider coming up, that could make it a little more crowded than it’s bee in the past.
