Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams still sad over Sarah Drew’s exit
Speaking per Entertainment Tonight while on the red carpet for the NBA Awards a little bit earlier this week, Williams made more of his thoughts clear as to precisely how he was feeling about the whole ordeal:
“I mean, the whole thing is sad. It’s unfortunate … That’s my partner, my road dog, so it was unpleasant, but she’s such a professional and did such incredible work down to the last frame and I’m really proud to have had our time together.”
While the show will go on and Williams is still a part of the series, is Grey’s Anatomy really going to be the same? Definitely not for some fans. Grey’s Anatomy has been on the air for long enough at this point that it is venturing into Saturday Night Live territory, one in which you start to think of it as a series with different eras that some will love more than others. After losing an actress as beloved as Drew, we know that there are many who will feel like this most-recent era was their favorite. Others may feel the same because they loved Jessica Capshaw, who is also now gone from the series.
Grey’s Anatomy season 15 will premiere on ABC a little bit later this year and there are still more stories left to tell for Jackson — we just wonder how some of them will work now, especially when it comes to him being a father. With April no longer on the series, it’s going to be a little bit strange to suddenly see only one part of the relationship.
