As reported last night, the Lucifer season 4 writers room is open — and we’ve got the latest photo to prove it now!
The image that CarterMatt has for you below comes courtesy of show executive producer Ildy Modrovich in a post on Twitter, and it shows everyone back at work and very much happy about it. Work will be underway over the next several weeks to map out the new season, plus create some great individual episodes along the way. Writing television is so much more complicated than anyone thinks, mostly because you have many writers working on different parts of the story all at the same time. By the time filming starts going a little bit later this summer, the writers should know where most of the story is going this season — especially with ten episodes. it may be a shorter season but for us we think shorter seasons mean tighter stories and that’s always a good thing – it challenges the writers to squeeze the most out of every single bit of dialogue.
Given that there are only ten episodes being written for this season, we don’t imagine the writers room being open anywhere near as long this year; yet, hopefully these ten episodes are just scratching the surface for what could be an extended run at Netflix. After all, do you really think that the streaming service picked up Lucifer just for the sake of airing it a single season?
Other odds and ends
We’ve done our best to compile everything that is out there about Lucifer season 4 so far in our discussion video from last night. be sure to check that out below, and be sure to also subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube for more like it.
Remember that there is no Lucifer season 4 premiere date for the time being — yet, we anticipate it coming on the air at some point within the first several months of 2019.
