Wynonna Earp season 3 and the stories for Wayhaught ahead
It’s pretty clear at this point that Waverly Earp and Nicole Haught are one of the most beloved couples on television — their energy and spirit is the lifeblood of the show. It’s hard to imagine a universe where the two are not together, so let’s hope that this is never something that comes to pass. For now, it doesn’t appear to be anything we need to be worried about! The priority moving into season 3 is taking on some problems that many people go through in real life relationships, including tough family crises and trying to figure out the best ways to be there for each other. Nicole’s past is going to be explored in a big way this season, and there’s a chance that the show could circle a very big part of Waverly’s overall mythology.
For a little more, Wynonna Earp showrunner Emily Andras had the following to say (via TVLine):
“WayHaught are about a year into their adorable courtship, so the honeymoon period is over — though lord knows their chemistry isn’t! They’re at a very genuine, honest, trusting place with one another, but they also feel more ‘real.’ They’ll need each other more than ever this season as Waverly circles ever closer to the identity of her real father — and Nicole’s disturbing past becomes present.”
Moving into season 3 these are some of the things that I really want to see and it includes opportunities to watch Wahaught grow as a couple and understand each other even better. Obviously, romance is important! There still should be plenty of that and some really fun moments for these characters; at the same time, there should also be moments where they can get to know each other on an even deeper level. This is what will bring these two to the point where they are ready to take the next step in their relationship. Who doesn’t want to see a Wayhaught wedding at some point down the line?
