Wynonna Earp season 3 promos: Action, humor, and booze

Wynonna Earp season 3 trailer

Syfy has released a pair of new Wynonna Earp season 3 promos leading up to the show’s official premiere on July 20, and these should remind you of a couple of things front and center: How much fun this show can be.

One of these promos is entitled “Bad, Mad, Hungover,” and we do think that this clip gives you a good sense as to much of what this show is about. There’s action, there’s vengeance, there’s kicking butt and taking names, and then there’s also heavy drinking to the point where you seemingly find yourself in the drunk tank. That seems to be what’s going on at the end of the preview.

Is there more to the show than this? Absolutely, in between Wayhaught, Doc’s magical stache, and a wide array of excellent supporting characters. Yet, this does a good job of selling a part of the show to viewers who don’t know all that much about it in a fifteen-second promo. There are clips that are designed to appeal to fans, just as there are also ones designed more to cater to both them and new viewers alike. This seems to be the latter, and it’s certainly worthy of a few viewings.

As for the second teaser, this one is more about killing demons — and features some excellent action alongside a notable bleep. The tone and goals here are pretty similar, and so long as you love all things Wynonna Earp there is a good chance you’ll be entertained by much of this.

Hopefully, these promos do their job of getting more Earpers on board to check out the season 3 premiere and beyond. Given the show’s enormous social base and loyal audience, it’s the sort that deserves an early season 4 renewal. One of the best ways in which to clearly do that is by encouraging as many viewers as possible to check out the show live.
