Pose episode 5 preview: Blanca’s personal story

Pose episode 5

What’s coming up on Pose episode 5 when it airs on FX? The July 1 episode next week is poised to be a big one for Blanca. We’ve come to know her rather well through the first few episodes, but moving forward we’re going to understand her better when it comes to one of the most important parts of her life: Her family. This is often what makes people the most vulnerable, and there are few things more devastating than not having the idealistic, picture-perfect family that so many others have. If your family is terrible, on some level you certainly wish they were not.

The Pose episode 4 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers up some more insight when it comes to the story ahead:

Blanca is forced to reconnect with her estranged siblings after the death of her mother.

As you can imagine here, this is going to be an emotional, challenging episode for Blanca as she’s forced to face off against preconceived notions and prejudice. She’s found one community but now, she is forced to dive into one that is certainly different.

The latest ratings update

For everyone out there who is tracking the show’s performance, we do have some more good news in regards to episode 3 last week — the numbers stabilized! At least in terms of live+same-day estimates, this installment generated a 0.2 rating and over 560,000 total viewers. That is a slight improvement from the week prior, and that gives us a little bit of hope that these are going to be the numbers for the remainder of the season. If that turns out to be the case, it definitely spells good news regarding a season 2.

While there is no official news on the series’ future as of yet, it feels pretty clear to us that Pose will be coming back. Is FX really going to get rid of a Ryan Murphy production, especially after he moved to Netflix for a production deal?
