Take Two episode 3 taps into both Sam, Eddie’s past

Take TWo premiere ratings

Take Two episode 3 will be airing on ABC come Thursday, July 5, and it’s not going to waste much time before diving into Sam and Eddie’s past. We like that the ABC series isn’t making viewers wait too long before diving into some of these backstories, so we can start to get invested in them early on. There is no guarantee that the series will be back for more and with that they really have to make us care about these characters and what happens to them. Episode 3, entitled “Taken,” is another opportunity to see a fun case while also giving you a chance to be part of some reflective moments.

For a little more information, just take a look at the Take Two episode 3 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

When a popular nightclub owner and one of Eddie’s old nemeses hires Eddie and Sam to track down his club’s missing DJ, Eddie balks. Meanwhile, Sam remembers her party days at the club and clashes with Eddie over the case. As they dig deeper, Sam and Eddie learn that the missing young man was kidnapped and soon realize his abduction may be part of a plan to ignite a mob war that only they can stop.

What is so interesting about the backstories for these two are the degrees of depth that are present there. With Sam, for example, you can make the superficial assumption that she’s an actress with a history of hard-partying; yet, it’s probably more complicated than we know at the moment. Meanwhile, for Eddie his past seems to hold a lot of secrets since he’s a bit more guarded. It just feels like there’s more mystery there just because he hasn’t spent the bulk of his life living in the public eye and with Sam by his side, that’s something that’s bound to get worse. Part of the fun of Take Two moving forward should be exploring the differences between these two characters, while also solving some cases and having some fun along the way.
