Over the course of Gotham season 5, could we get an appearance from Victor Szasz? He’s one of the more notable villains who has been on the series, even if, for the most part, he’s been assigned a henchman role on the show to other various villains. We know that, at least in the comic books, he eventually becomes a fairly notable foe to Batman and with that, we don’t exactly think that we’re going to be losing the character anytime soon.
Yet, as for whether or not we are going to see more of Szasz on Gotham, that remains to be seen. Anthony Carrigan is a busy guy these days, and his new role on HBO’s Barry is one of the reasons why he wasn’t around that much in season 4. For the time being, even he doesn’t know what’s coming up for him! Here’s some of what he had to say on the subject to ComicBook.com:
“I’m going to give you a maybe on that … There’s a lot of things up in the air right now. But, you know, I love playing Victor Zsasz, and it would be a total honor to kind of go back and do it, but like I said, there’s a lot of factors at play.”
If we were to make our own pitch on this, it would be to get one more appearance from Carrigan as Szasz, just so that we can get a sense as to where this character is and his eventual evolution into the man you see in the comics. It doesn’t have to be a huge appearance, but just a little cameo from the guy would be more than welcome. We know that Carrigan is busy, and beyond that we know that there are only ten episodes in the final season and that is not a lot of time.
