Take Two episode 2 preview: What’s next in ‘The Smoking Gun’

Following tonight’s premiere, what’s going to be coming up next on Take Two episode 2? For starters, the world of Eddie Valetik and Sam Swift is about to be expanded upon in a big way. The two are now working together and with that, there’s going to be less of a feeling that their investigation is a one-time affair. She’s not attached to a movie anymore; now, she’s just trying to figure out a way in which to be useful and use some of her law-enforcement experience in order to solve crimes.

We know that there are many skills Sam brings to the table as a performer when it comes to solving mysteries. The photo above, for example, proves that her costume skills continue to be on point. Getting to go continually undercover may be one of the things that this series ends up doing below.

Below, the Take Two episode 2 synopsis offers up some other news in regards to what’s coming up next:

While working surveillance on a routine cheating spouse case, Sam and Eddie hear gunshots and race in to catch a Hollywood producer standing over the body of his mistress, clutching a smoking gun. It’s case-closed as far as Eddie or any cop is concerned. But when the producer insists he’s innocent, Sam agrees to take on his case, much to Eddie’s chagrin. When their initial inquiries uncover that the producer’s mistress isn’t who she claimed to be, the pair are thrust into an investigation where not everything is as it seems.

Even though Sam and Eddie may now be working together, that does not necessarily mean that the two characters are on the same page all of the time. Eddie’s still going to be stubborn and he’s not going to be altogether intent to buy into the prospect that a television star knows what’s right when it comes to his line of work. He’s grow to respect her more, but it may still take some time — and the same goes for whether or not this partnership eventually does turn into something a little bit more.
