Ozark season 2 premiere date, teaser released by Netflix
Want to know the Ozark season 2 premiere date over at Netflix? Rest assured that we come bearing some great news!
Today, Netflix confirmed via the new teaser (see below) that the latest season for the Jason Bateman series will stream coming up on August 31. That’s a rather-long time to wait, but if enjoyed season 1, we’ve got a feeling that it will be very much worthwhile. We anticipate that there will be once more an atmospheric, creepy vibe around the second season as we witness Marty Bryde and the characters around him figure out their place within a world that is increasingly dangerous.
While this teaser doesn’t give away too much when it comes to the story ahead, we have a feeling that many out there may appreciate the official Ozark season 2 synopsis:
“[In] its much-anticipated second season, Ozark continues to follow Marty Bryde and his family as they navigate the murky waters of life within a dangerous drug cartel. With Del out, the crime syndicate sends their ruthless attorney Helen Pierce to town to shake things up just as The Byrdes are finally settling in. Marty and Wendy struggle to balance their family interests amid the escalating dangers presented by their partnerships with the power-hungry Snells, the cartel and their new deputy, Ruth Langmore, whose father Cade has been released from prison. The stakes are even higher than before and The Byrdes soon realize they have to go all in before they can get out.”
This season is going to be anchored hopefully by great performances once again, but also raise some new questions about what Marty has gotten himself into. The relationship between power and family is something that many shows within this vein have explored very well over the years and with that, we’re curious to learn if there is something that Ozark can bring to the table that we haven’t seen elsewhere.
