Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 5 preview: What’s next for Deran, Billy?

Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 5

Are you interested in learning some of what’s coming up on Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 5? This is an installment entitled “Prey” and based on some early details that are out there, it feels like an appropriate way to summarize a dramatic, chaotic story from start to finish. After all, within this hour there are going to be opportunities to see more of Smurf’s operation, but also get a chance in order to learn what’s actually happening when it comes to Deran and his father Billy. Smurf warned J about this guy for a reason, and this is the episode where some of that may start to come home to roost a little bit.

For a little more information on this, all you have to do is check out the Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 5 synopsis below:

Deran (Jake Weary) gets to know his father Billy (Denis Leary) and helps J (Finn Cole) with a dilemma as Pearce (Gil Birmingham) closes in on Smurf’s laundering operation. Craig (Ben Robson) uncovers a secret that sends him to Smurf (Ellen Barkin) and Nicky (Molly Gordon) must decide whether she belongs in the Cody family or not.

The story about Nicky is a pretty interesting one, mostly because she has been around the Cody family for so long that it makes sense that she would feel like she’s a part of it. Yet, at the same time she does have to think about her own future here and there … and it’s pretty darn clear that for this family, they are constantly going to be steeped in some sort of chaos. It just feels inescapable considering the line of work that they do. Even though they were able to escape in one piece tonight, who knows how long that will last?

Also, having Billy around at this point may accelerate some of their problems?
