American Horror Story season 8: Sarah Paulson hypes up first script

American Horror Story season 8

American Horror Story season 8 has been officially confirmed to be a crossover between Murder House and Coven. While the specific characters involved have not been officially announced, one thing seems clear: The cast is excited for what lies ahead.

In a new post on Twitter via Sarah Paulson (during the Pose live-tweeting session Sunday night) the actress behind many of the show’s most-popular roles made it clear that the first script for the upcoming season is “one of [the series’] best” and that she cannot wait for the audience to see it. As for what happens within this episode, we imagine that one of the priorities is figuring out a way in order for the two seasons of the show to join forces. Doing a full-fledged crossover season is no easy task since there are so many different components to it — you need to figure out what the story will be, and then following that combining the mythology in the way that makes sense.

After all, on paper there is no real connective tissue between the two seasons and technically, there’s no reason to tell this story. Both Murder House and also Coven ended in ways that felt fairly conclusive and with that in mind, there has to be a pretty darn good reason for the two shows to come together.

Hopefully, at some point in the weeks to come more details will be handed out about this season, especially since the premiere date is really only a few months away. American Horror Story as a franchise has a tendency to work rather quickly, so we imagine that everything is going to materialize before too long.
