Wynonna Earp season 3 premiere spoilers: Strangers in Purgatory

The Wynonna Earp season 3 premiere is formally airing on Syfy and Space come Friday, July 20, and you should know in advance that the series is wasting no time at all giving you one of the boldest, most-entertaining stories possible. The first episode will kick off with some strange happenings in Purgatory, and Wynonna is going to figure out what is going on here, presumably in connection of what happens on the other side of the season 2 finale. Given how Wynonna’s mother was teased at the end of that season, we have to think that producers aren’t going to waste too much time bringing her on board.

What we can say for certain about the Wynonna Earp season 3 premiere is that the title is “Blood Red and Going Down,” and that you can see the official Space synopsis for it below (via SpoilerTV):

In the Season 3 premiere “Blood Red and Going Down” (Friday, July 20 at 9 p.m. ET), when a mysterious bus full of sexy strangers rolls into town, Wynonna must figure out why they’re in Purgatory before the entire town falls under their spell.

What sort of “sexy strangers” are these? We wonder if they’ve all been infected with some sort of virus and they’re akin to roaming bus-zombies; or, maybe they’re all a bunch of supernatural hippie nomads. One way or another, trying to infiltrate this group could prove difficult. It’s also a lot harder for Wynonna to take on a lot of people at one time, but we know at this point that she’s very resourceful and capable of finding unique ways to solve problems. By “unique,” we also mean “awesome.” Nobody really knows how to solve problems quite like she does!

We expect this episode to be funny, action-packed, but also personal and meaningful in the way in which many great Wynonna Earp episodes are.
