New Wynonna Earp season 3 promo: Drama, drinking, and fun references
This new promo (posted thanks to SpoilerTV) comes courtesy of Canadian broadcaster Space, and we do think that there is a lot to love about it almost from the get-go. You get to see in here a great deal of drama, a lot of drinking, and a rather magnificent reference to The Lord of the Rings. It’s almost a perfect microcosm of this entire series, one ripe with violence, humor, strong relationships, and also surprises around almost every corner.
Going into season 3, we would say that family is one of the most central themes that we are expecting to see explored. We’ve already seen that within the relationship between Wynonna and Waverly, but with Megan Follows coming on board this season as Wynonna’s mother, we are anticipating this to be center stage perhaps more so than ever before. Beyond just that, you can look at the entire cast as a sort of informal family at this point who have been through so much together and escaped death on a number of different occasions.
Beyond some of the visuals that are present within this promo, the reality remains here that there are several other question marks we have about the story. That is likely an intentional move, given that producers want there to be some sort of element of surprise. Rest assured, we are very much excited to get into some of that when Wynonna Earp season 3 premieres come July.
