Bachelor in Paradise alum Jared Haibon, Ashley Iaconetti engaged
According to People Magazine (and as seen of course in the photo above), Jared proposed during filming for the upcoming season premiering this summer on ABC. The two have a long history that dates back to their first season in Paradise together, where she pursued him instantly and it became a very-long case of her wanting him and him not being anywhere near as interested. Clearly, that changed dramatically over time and the two officially became an item this spring. It may be a quick proposal, but given how long they’ve known each other, is it really that quick at all? They’ve been friends for a long time, and there was clearly something a little bit earlier this year that caused Jared to start to see Ashley in a different light.
Also, if they wanted to continue to be involved in this franchise, it makes sense that they would go back to Paradise in order to do that. It’s where they first spent a lot of time together — and, of course, that’s also where the cameras are if they want to include as many fans as possible who watched them from the start. They are far from the first couple to be engaged in Paradise, and there could be another one who is actually an active part of this season. (We don’t think that Jared and Ashley are actually going to be around all that long.)
This is the second major relationship headline with Ashley within Bachelor Nation this year — last year she started dating Kevin on Bachelor Winter Games, but they broke up earlier this year.
