Big Brother 20: Meet houseguest Faysal Shafaat, former NFL prospect

The focus of this particular spotlight is on Faysal Shafaat, a substitute teacher living in Orlando, Florida who has a reasonable amount of history for himself online as an athlete. He played tight end in college and at one point was considered a possible NFL Draft prospect. You can see some of those highlights in the video we have for you below.
Houseguest comparison – He’s easily in that mold of a Devin or a Jeremy from season 15 in that he’s so obviously imposing physically that there’s no avoiding it. He’s just going to have to go in and own that and find a way to appeal to people in other ways. His best-case scenario is that he’s like Mark.
Have they seen the show before? – Doubtful. He mentions Victor as his favorite player and judging from the number of people saying that this year, that must be what they were given in sequester. Maybe he watched it a few times before leaving for the hotel and that’s it.
Fun facts – Like fellow contestant Winston, Faysal also loves his dog and maybe they can bro down over that this season. He also loves Taylor Swift and stuffed crust cheese pizza — we are firmly with him on that second one.
On a not-so-fun note, there’s also this. It’s probably been posted multiple places already, based on how quickly news can spread.
Early assessment – Faysal is the sort of guy who wants to come in, and not be a huge physical target right away. He’s probably going to try to win people over with his sense of humor and hope that works for him. However, we’re not altogether confident that it’ll work since it hasn’t really worked for anyone other than Mark ever. We’re not completely optimistic here for Faysal.
