Sam Bledsoe is the focus of this article and on paper, we rather like her! She’s a 27-year old welder, and the idea of getting a female welder on Big Brother is not something we ever envisioned happening. She’s also from Stuarts Draft, Virginia, a town about 35 miles west of Charlottesville. It’s not a hole-in-the-wall town, but you’ve probably never heard of it unless you’re from there or know someone who is.

Houseguest comparison – She actually looks a little similar to Miley Cyrus. It’s tough to compare her to anyone since you don’t get a lot of blue-collar Big Brother women who are physical and also good strategists. She compares herself to Dani Donato and as a longtime Dani Donato fan, who are we to argue with that? Oddly, Lane from season 12 also comes to mind — she’s probably a better strategic player, but he had a really solid social game and was able to use some of his country background to his advantage without coming across as a caricature.

Have they seen the show before? – Judging from the Dani Donato reference, probably many times.

Fun facts – She actually wants to be Head of Household, as she says she’s got leadership skills and can use her time as a hairdresser and bartender to work some of the other other players in the game. She apparently is afraid to use the bathroom in the house (we would be, too) and wants to play the game in a way that is fairly free-flowing. She wants to be able to change things up on the fly, if need be.

Early assessment – Unless Sam comes in too hot with her gameplay (shameless welder joke) she actually has a really good chance of making it far into the game. She’s smart, athletic, and understands that she needs to be flexible. She’s probably going to be likable enough to mask she’s a threat for a little while, and we like that she has some life experience under her belt.
