Westworld season 2 finale promo: Consciousness, care, and conclusions

What’s coming on the Westworld season 2 finale? The last episode of the year is airing on HBO in one week’s time and based on what we’re seeing in the promo below, things are going to be intense.

Beyond that, things are hopefully going to become all the clearer. There are many questions at the heart of this series, in between ones of identity, ones of consciousness, and ones that make you wonder the true capabilities of humankind. This is the sort of finale that is almost impossible to speculate on, mostly because it is the sort that could completely divert explanations and send you careening in a completely different direction.

Perhaps the most important point to make here is that Dolores, now awakened, is not going to allow her consciousness to go to waste. She is ready to fight, but so seems everyone else. Expect gunplay of the trippiest variety.

There are two more things that we should note about the Westworld season 2 finale now.

1. HBO hasn’t revealed much in the way of details in regards to the finale. Should you be altogether shocked by that? We don’t think so given what is at stake.

2. The finale is going to run for approximately 90 minutes. This is according to HBO’s own programming listings for the episode. Therefore, don’t fret as to whether or not everything is going to be tied up. There is a season 3 renewal already in the books, but we presume that there is no guarantee that this season will look or feel like this one at all.

No matter what happens, rest assured that there is a lot that everyone is going to have to discuss in the months to come.
