For those of you wondering how Elementary season 6 episode 8 was going to address the aftermath of last week’s episode, it looks like the show allowed Sherlock Holmes allowed the time in which to recover.
In the sneak peeks below, you learn that Monday’s episode is set a good three or so months after the events of what we saw previously with Michael’s departure. Sherlock visits Watson and seems intent on restarting his life — really to the point where he also is itching to get back into some cases. As much as we may loathe Michael, he does have one particularly valid point when it comes to Sherlock and his addiction to the hunt: Whether he likes to admit to it or not, there is a certain part of his brain that loves solving mysteries to the point where he cannot escape from it … even when said mysteries involve a black bear.
As for the second sneak peek below, that introduces you to the case of Lauren Wexler and a man in a towel who decides it best to try to run away from Holmes, Watson, and Bell — while losing the towel in the process. For those of you who love comedic scenes on Elementary, this one absolutely fits the bill. It’s another great reminder that sometimes, Sherlock can deduce situations that he really doesn’t want to be involved in. As he points out, this man is (probably) unarmed! Bell can certainly handle this on his own.
While there’s a lot of humor within these sneak peeks, rest assured that there are also some other serious moments coming up in the case. Beyond just this, Michael is still floating around out there somewhere and we’re more than curious to see what happens there.
