Queen of the South season 3 key art takes things in a darker direction

Queen of the South season 3

Queen of the South season 3 is set to premiere on USA come June 21, and based on the visual aesthetic that we’re seeing leading up to it, it feels like we’re being sent a message.

What is that message? That everything that we’ve seen Teresa go through since the start of the series is leaving a mark on her. While the show does still maintain a little bit of its flair and style, at the same time there are some darker edges to it now. We’ve seen this character go through quite a bit and she’s not going to be precisely the same on the other side of it. The key part above (thanks to SpoilerTV for the find) gives you a good sense as to Teresa’s attitude — there are elements of the old version of her clearly there on this show, but also a different energy and style than what you’ve seen on the show in the past.

In the midst of all of this, we also do love that it is still recognizable and comparable to the art from the first two seasons.

Want to see star Alice Braga in a different, more lighthearted form? Rest assured that we’ve also got that for you via the Facebook Live session below! In that, she shares some more details all about what lies ahead.

Before you go…

There is also one other thing that you should check out in a promo for what’s coming up! While it may not be the most in-depth tease of what lies ahead, it gives you a good sense as to some of themes that are going to be present over the rest of the year. It’s a big summer coming up! We hope that you are ready for it.
