Better Call Saul season 4 could feature another Breaking Bad character
For those of you who love your Breaking Bad characters mixed into Better Call Saul, odds are you are going to love the latest news on season 4.
In a new post on Twitter, Variety’s Debra Birnbaum confirmed that within a podcast with Bob Odenkirk and Vince Gilligan, it was confirmed to her that an “important” character from the flagship AMC series will be making an appearance of some sort in the upcoming Saul season. Who could it be? There are a number of possibilities, but to us someone like Hank probably makes the most sense just because of the fact that there are easy reasons why someone in law enforcement would get mixed up with some of these other characters. It’s a little bit different than someone like Walter White or Jesse showing up, which at the moment we’d probably be actually opposed to. As much fun as we have speculating as to whether or not these guys could show up, their full story was told in Breaking Bad and with that in mind, there is really no reason to include them here. Someone like Hank or another supporting character (Huell?) could show up in a way that makes way more sense without upsetting the apple cart for what is going to be coming up a little bit down the line.
Ultimately, what we do care about the most is that we continue to see the evolution of Jimmy, sad as it is given that we are starting to see this once-joyous, ambitious man be turned into Saul Goodman. We hope that on the other side of this we can see a story for Gene — we actually care about that more so than any cameo.
