Supergirl season 3 finale photo: Imra returns; Sam prepares for battle
One of the things that we know right now is that the bulk of the show’s heroes are going to band together in order to save much of earth — and, to go along with that, try to stop Reign and Selena from teraforming the planet completely.
The photo above really is a who’s-who for popular heroes on the show — you’ve got Alura sticking around, Guardian suited up, and even the return of Imra after she hasn’t been seen in quite some time. We feel like she and Mon-El have some big things to talk about after everything that we’ve seen over the past few episodes! We’d be surprised if every single one of those characters above is going to be around come the start of season 4, so this photo is pretty awesome just from that vantage point. (We’re also curious as to what’s happening with J’onn and M’yrnn, given that they are not in the photo but seem to be a part of trying to stop Selena’s mission, as well.)
As for the second photo below, that one is pretty awesome but somewhat mysterious — after all, it’s not all that often that you see someone with a giant sword like the one that Samantha Arias is holding here. Whatever she does with this is going to be pivotal to the character’s central struggle — it could be a final one, depending on how everything unfolds in the finale.
Don’t be surprised if there is a big cliffhanger at the end of the episode — the one good thing about the finale airing so late is that it means less time until the premiere this fall.
