Poldark season 4 episode 2 video: Is there hope for Drake, Morwenna?
One of the biggest story threads with the show at the moment is the condition of one Hugh Armitage, who is getting increasingly ill in the midst of his heartbreak. He’s already dropped one of the biggest guilt-bombs known to mankind on Demelza, saying that the longer that she is not with him, the more sick he will become. It doesn’t seem as though she is changing her mind, and with that, Hugh’s condition is not getting better.
There are of course some other implications here as well, most notably when it comes to the election. This could be what opens the door for Ross Poldark to have more of a career in the political realm if he so chooses. It’s a chance for him to better represent the people he already knows and cares about. He would be a different leader than most everyone else has been for the region, and that of course includes none other than the despicable, terrible George Warleggan. We have to imagine that is rousing speech at the end of the premiere, plus getting mercy granted for Sam and Drake, has more and more of the locals on his side.
How is George going to react to the idea of Ross running? As the video suggests, not great. As a matter of fact, this could accelerate a feud that was slightly bubbling underneath the surface ever since George and Elizabeth started to repair the relationship. Now, everything could get a little bit more public and significantly uglier.
As for everything else that is coming within this episode, one of the biggest things to expect is a small moment of Hope for Morwenna and Drake. The two share a very nice moment within this preview — even if it doesn’t lead to more, you do at least know that those feelings are there, burning stronger than ever before.
