The Bold Type season 2 episode 3 preview: Sutton’s tough spot

What is coming up on The Bold Type season 2 episode 3? In one way, it is a direct continuation of everything that unfolded over the course of the two-episode premiere. However, in some other ways it is set to veer off in some interesting and hopefully-unexpected directions. You will see Sutton struggle with a big decision, Jane find a new target for an upcoming article, and in general a lot of drama all around the magazine at large. Clearly, the Freeform series is wasting very little time getting into the meat of the story to come and that absolutely feels like it is for the best.

Sutton is in an awkward position when she is put in charge of hiring a photographer for an accessories shoot, and Kat asks her to hire Adena. Jane follows around a cute and altruistic doctor named Ben for her latest article. Scarlet’s newest board member, Cleo, causes Jacqueline to defend her role at the magazine.

Ultimately, what we are hoping for more so than anything else as we see this story progress is for some of these characters to conquer the past and also strive towards the future. A big part of this show is really about finding a way to overcome obstacles and we know that in the magazine-publishing world, there are many. Yet, we’d like to see this series build towards something where at the end of the series, these characters are starting to get to a place where they may become leaders in this industry. We do think that this is an exciting direction, and with there being one more season already ordered beyond this one, there is plenty of time and also plenty of opportunities for the show to get there.
