When could Hawaii Five-0 season 9 begin filming?
Let us kick things off here by discussing a little bit of what we know for now. As of right now, the safe assumption is that there are some scripts being written for the latest batch of episodes, which will premiere on CBS at some point in September. If we are to go along with some other past timelines with this show, it is fair to assume that season 9 will start filming at some point in the days that follow the 4th of July. Given that July 4 lands on a Wednesday this year, July 9 seems like a fairly reasonable estimate as to when filming to begin. If not then, more than likely it will take place at some point around then. Hawaii Five-0 is not the sort of show that has the luxury of waiting too much longer than this, if for no other reason than that they typically film as many as 25 episodes in a single season. They have to start fairly early in the event that they want to get done in time for all these episodes to air by May.
As for whether or not there are going to be any major onscreen changes, it doesn’t seem to be that way. Both Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan are set to be returning to the series for more, so there is no reason to worry about the future of Steve and Danny for now. Meanwhile, there has been no public discussion suggesting that the supporting cast won’t stick around. We know how much the entire Ohana means to viewers who watch, and they want to see them all around together as much as humanly possible. Luckily, we do think that’s going to happen here.
Filming will most likely continue until April, and of course around that time we’d like to hear word of a season 10. Hawaii Five-0 is the sort of show that makes us inherently greedy, mostly because we’re always going to want more of it! Yet, we do recognize that at some point, the series will come to an end just because all do. We just want to see it hit double-digits first.
