Food Network Star season 14 video: Ready for what lies ahead?

Food Network Star season 14For anyone who is hungry for some more culinary competitions on TV, rest assured that Food Network Star season 14 is right around the corner! It’s hard to fathom that we have almost made it to the fourteenth season of the show; yet, here we are. This is a real testament to the longevity of the series and the work that the crew and producers have done. Also, we do think that this speaks rather well for the reality-competition format as well. There’s a reason why shows like this one, Project Runway, Ink Master, and Top Chef work so well — they refresh themselves every year! In the end, it’s really all about the caliber of the talent and also the established way in which the competition works.

Bobby Flay and Giada de Laurentiis are both returning as judges for Sunday’s premiere, but beyond just this the teaser promo below doesn’t give away too much. Granted, it really doesn’t need to since the entire premise of the show is self-explanatory. This series has become almost a great farm system for Food Network over the years — they are able to use this to uncover more great talent, which they can in turn market back out for everyone to enjoy. They have a chance to do something here that very few other networks have an opportunity to. There have been many successful winners of the show, with Guy Fieri probably being the most notable one; even those that are lesser-known tend to have at least some sort of presence across Food Network for at least a little while.

We’ll be back with more coverage soon, but for now, we certainly anticipate this to be an intense, exciting season filled with a lot of drama from start to finish. (Yet, nothing too serious — this is an aspirational series at the end of the day.)
