Legends of Tomorrow season 4: Door left open for Keiynan Lonsdale return

Legends of Tomorrow

Could Keiynan Lonsdale return to Legends of Tomorrow in the future after his departure as Wally West? You never want to say never in these sort of situations, and the good news is that both he and the show itself are open to a reprisal down the road.

Recently, Lonsdale himself made it clear that he is open to coming back as Wally — the only reason that he is leaving right now is so that he can take on some different challenges to try new things. That is a little bit harder to do when you are working long hours more than half the year on a single TV show.

Now, the show’s official writers room has transferred over a positive message to him, as well. Take a look at what the team had to say in a post on Twitter below, and everyone seems more than open to seeing if there is more story to tell in the future. (Lonsdale will make at least one appearance in the early on going on The Flash.)

Another bit of good news here story-wise is that it feels like the Waverider team is ALWAYS going to benefit from having someone like Wally around. How could they not when you think about everything that he brings to the table? He’s resourceful, he’s experienced, and there is also that little thing known as super-speed that makes him super-useful at any given moment. A big part of what makes this show so interesting is that there is a sort of revolving-door nature to the cast where people leave, new people come in, and there are always chances to have some happy returns along the way. We hope that there are many different characters from past seasons who find a way to return.
