Elementary season 6 episode 6 video: Gregson’s daughter makes an admission
In the sneak peeks below, Gregson makes it clear to Joan that his daughter is an alcoholic and is currently going through some of her steps to recovery. Having a conversation with him was apparently one essential stepping stone to getting better and now, he wants to do the right thing when it comes to helping her further. That is why she is coming to Joan, as she’s experienced a lot as a sober companion to Sherlock and can offer up some good advice.
Is there a part of us that is somewhat disappointed to not see Gregson coming to Sherlock? Certainly, since he has had plenty of addiction issues and could be another perspective for them. Empathy is important for any relationship. However, we know as of late that things haven’t been altogether great for Sherlock and Gregson and there was no better example of it than the end of this past episode. While it was made clear that Sherlock was going to continue to be a part of solving cases, he had still some serious concerns when it comes to his health.
Are these concerns merited? That’s something that we’re going to find out over the next few weeks but for now, the focus has to be on Gregson — after all, this is the subject of this preview! There is a larger case happening during this hour, but that seems to be separate from anything going on here. Let’s just say that it involves a flash drive story away within a finger.
