Elementary season 6 episode 6 sneak peek: What makes this murder victim different?

Elementary

At the center of Elementary season 6 episode 6 on CBS Monday night is the case of a former member of the Yakuza … and there are certainly many questions as to why they’ve turned up dead.

For some information on the subject of this case, we implore you to take a look at the sneak peek below. This is where we learn that this member of the deceased effectively gave up a finger in order to end his old life and return to normal society; typically, that is enough for former Yakuza members to go on and live happy without problem.

So what made this man different? Well, it turns out that he was a very prominent member who specialized in espionage and blackmail … meaning that he probably had a whole lot more information than other people were comfortable with. He also had a prosthetic finger that contained a USB drive holding key information … which seems like a pretty good place to hide it, given that it always stays on you and nobody is ever wise to its existence. Somehow, this drive is going to end up playing a big role in this case.

When you start to think about all of this, it should help to make it abundantly clear as to why this particular case is so dangerous! After all, what we are seeing here is Sherlock and Joan having to face off against some very smart, very resourceful, and very powerful people. These are not the sort of opponents any enemy wants to contend with given that they have the sort of contacts who can kill you within the blink of an eye. It doesn’t even feel right to just call them dangerous — it’s so much more than that.
