What is it about Elementary season 6 and body parts? That’s certainly a question worth pondering as we move into Monday’s new episode.
On this past episode, we had a case that picked up with Sherlock in the possession of a severed head and with no idea as to how it got there. For this coming episode, however, Holmes and Watson are taking on a case in which a prosthetic finger is at the center of everything. This finger may contain a flash drive that houses hidden secrets — basically, this sounds like one of the most bizarre cases we’ve seen on the show in some time.
Now, in order to ensure that justice is secured for this case (of course, there’s also a murder and a dead body), Sherlock and Joan are also going to have to break the law and infiltrate a dangerous facility to get some more answers. As if the two did not have enough other problems at the moment, including Sherlock’s recovery and everything that has been going on surrounding Michael, they are adding something else to the list.
The principal thing that should be a concern for Sherlock at the moment is simply this: If he makes one wrong move on the job and Gregson finds out about it, he could end up losing his provisionary status. He is already concerned about Sherlock’s health causing problems for the entire NYPD when he is out on the job and with that, we would not be surprised if he suddenly starts scrounging for reasons to get rid of him. If he finds something here, this could be his grand opportunity to strike.
Remember, this episode will air on CBS Monday night at 10:00 p.m. Eastern.
