Final Timeless season 2 deleted scene hits the web

Timeless season 2

Timeless fans, we are officially nearing the end of an era — after all, today the show’s writers finally unleashed the last remaining season 2 deleted scene.

Going into it, the writers set up the most Herculean task that they could: Asking for 1,500 retweets in return for putting the scene out there. There wasn’t really a concern about #Clockblockers hitting that, mostly because they’ve been able to get all of the necessary retweets for all of the other scenes to date. Why even ask for them? It’s another great way to promote the show and keep it relevant, which is something that they have been able to do for the better part of the past week and change.

Will there be a decision soon? We hope so. Eventually, NBC will have to make one given that cast options will expire at some point. In the event that it does get canceled, we hope that Sony has already started to line up some other possible homes so that it can be shopped around as quickly as possible.

As for the content of this scene (which was, big surprise, cut for time), it features Jiya mulling over in her head what could happen to Rufus in “The Salem Witch Hunt” — she had a vision of him killing a man and that is something that understandably gave her some pause. We know that happens in that episode unfolds in a slightly-different way than she imagined, and in some terrible way this sets a precedent for what happens a little bit down the road when you get to the events of the finale. (This is why we need a season 3, people! We absolutely need to see whether or not there is a way to save Rufus in the past.)
