Another Timeless deleted scene; coping with the wait

Timeless season 2

We’re back with yet another Timeless deleted scene today, alongside a sad reminder that there are not too many more coming up.

Why is that? As the show’s official writers room explains in a post on Twitter, it is really just a function of how they only have so many! The idea was to use this scenes as a rallying tool to get more attention to the renewal effort and said effort has taken substantially longer than anyone would have guessed. NBC has really drug things on — while it is easy to feel somewhat negative about that (trust us, we’ve had those feelings), the silver lining here remains that they are seriously thinking about a renewal and trying to see if there is a way it can work. If they didn’t care about the show at all, they would have canceled it weeks ago. We don’t subscribe to any conspiracy theory that they are just waiting as long as possible to cancel it to avoid any backlash, mostly because with a fanbase like this NBC has to know there will be backlash regardless.

As for the deleted scene, you can see it below! It revolves around Emma as she does her part in order to help set up the new headquarters for Rittenhouse. As you likely know, the super-mysterious organization was invaded at one point in the season and were forced to rebuild; this is her working to ensure that this happens. It’s not the most in-depth preview ever, but we’re hardly going to be upset about getting more of this character — that’s especially true when you think about the ending of season 2. The stage seems to be set for her to be a Big Bad during season 3.
