The Fosters season 5 episode 20 video: A toast for Eliza, Brandon
This is going to be an interesting few hours of television for many different reasons, starting of course with the fact that we don’t actually know Eliza very well as a character at all. She’s someone who Brandon met over the course of this epic time jump and he is now nearing a new chapter of his life. He’s older and wiser, but does that actually mean that she is the right person for him? This is one of the questions that this special is probably going to address.
Unfortunately, the sneak peek below does not really do a whole lot in order to answer this question in full. Instead, it gives you a little backstory into the wedding and where Lena and Stef’s lives are as they propose a toast to their family and Eliza’s, who have all gathered to get to know each other better. Within this sneak peek we learn about Lena and Stef continuing to be foster parents, just as we also learn that they really haven’t had a chance to spend all that much time with Eliza’s family. This is where there is the potential for a little bit of drama to crop up — it’s not so much about whether or not these two are terrible people; instead, we simply don’t know all that much about either one of them and the scales could tip here in all sorts of directions — that is, if they don’t tip when it comes to Eliza herself.
