New Better Call Saul season 4 photo has Jimmy looking … okay?

AMC has released a new Better Call Saul season 4 photo, and judging from the look of this one, Jimmy McGill may actually be holding things (reasonably) together following the death of his brother Chuck.

Then again, is Jimmy really okay? Through the first three seasons of the AMC series, one of the things that we really came to know about this character is that he is a master chameleon. He excels at putting on a presentation that matches what he believes other people want from. Take, for example, the whole “elder law” portion of his career where he felt like that was the best way for him to earn money. He knows how to take advantage of almost any given situation — if that means sporting a fairly normal suit and acting as though he is fully in control, that is something that he is more than capable of doing.

What we expect to see happen throughout season 4 is Jimmy McGill be forced into making some tough decisions when it comes to his future — and, to go along with that, he will probably make some terrible choices. What makes this show so compelling is that you see some of what Jimmy’s life could have been. For example, he could have had a wonderful girlfriend in Kim Wexler, and he could have had a little more of a normal career. Yet, he cut corners, he got greedy, and at times he was vengeful. Jimmy set himself up to become Saul Goodman, a creation that was Slippin’ Jimmy and then some. We’ve already heard the character’s name mentioned on the show in the present timeline, but there is a little bit of a ways to go insofar as the transformation goes.
